Equipment classification
We classify the equipment per WPC categories — Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, Drone (Civil), etc. Each category has different documentation requirements.

What devices need WPC ETA?
Any device transmitting on a regulated frequency band — Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, NFC, LoRa, GPS, drones with RF, smart watches, Bluetooth speakers, IoT modules. Even devices that only RECEIVE in some bands may need ETA. Tell us the device and we'll classify.
How long does WPC ETA take?
6-12 weeks from filing for most categories. Mobile phones: typically 8-10 weeks. Drones: 6-8 weeks (faster post-Drone Rules 2021). IoT modules with international test reports already in place: 4-6 weeks possible.
Can I import the cargo BEFORE WPC ETA is granted?
Yes — cargo can be imported and held in customs warehouse / bonded warehouse pending WPC grant. We coordinate the bonded storage so cargo doesn't accrue port demurrage.
What's the WPC fee structure?
Government fee: INR 10,000 per ETA application for most categories (INR 50,000+ for some high-power categories). WCL filing fee: flat per application, quoted upfront. Total typically INR 15,000-50,000 depending on device class.
