1. Who we are

World Cargo Logistics ("WCL", "we", "our") is a customs clearance, freight forwarding and DGFT consultancy firm registered in India, with offices in Mumbai (HQ), Ahmedabad (Registered Office), Gandhidham, Jodhpur and New Delhi. Registered office: 402, Loha Bhavan, Nr. Old High Court, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad — 380009.

2. What we collect

  • Contact form / quote request data — name, company, email, phone / WhatsApp number, shipment details (origin, destination, commodity, HS code, volume), and any free-text message you submit.
  • Tool usage — inputs you provide to our calculators (HS Code Finder, CBM Calculator, Air Freight Calculator, Road Freight Calculator, Unit Converter). These are processed in your browser; we do not store individual tool inputs unless you choose to share them with us via the WhatsApp/email shortcuts.
  • Automatic data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, referring source. Used for analytics and abuse prevention only.
  • Cookies — strictly-necessary session cookies and lightweight analytics cookies. No third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your quote requests and customer-service enquiries.
  • To send you transactional updates about your shipments and our services.
  • To improve our website, calculators and free trade tools.
  • To comply with legal obligations under Indian customs law, the Foreign Trade Policy, the Income-Tax Act, the GST Act, and KYC requirements.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party. We share information only with:

  • Carriers and customs authorities involved in your shipment — shipping lines, airlines, road carriers, ICEGATE, DGFT, port authorities.
  • Our trusted service providers — AWS (hosting), SES (email delivery), Cloudflare (where applicable), and accounting/CRM systems. All bound by confidentiality.
  • Law enforcement when legally compelled by a valid Indian court order.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to nrp@wclogistic.in. We respond to legitimate requests within 30 working days. Requests for deletion may be declined if we are required to retain records under Indian customs / tax law.

6. Retention

Shipment records and supporting documentation are retained for at least seven years to comply with the Customs Act 1962 and CBIC retention requirements. Tax records are retained for the period required under the Income-Tax Act and CGST Act. Other personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purpose collected.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security: TLS encryption in transit, AWS-encrypted storage, access controls limited to authorised staff, and IP-based rate limiting on form submissions. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you not to share highly sensitive information (passwords, bank credentials) via our forms.

8. Tools — input handling

The free tools on this site (HS Code Finder, CBM Calculator, Air Freight Calculator, Road Freight Calculator, Unit Converter, Incoterms reference) compute results in your browser. We do not persist your individual tool inputs to our servers unless you explicitly send them to us via the WhatsApp or email shortcut buttons inside each tool. Aggregated, anonymous usage counts may be collected for product improvement.

9. Children

Our services and website are intended for businesses and adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified via our website.
