Sea Export Custom Clearance
FCL, LCL, breakbulk clearance at every Indian port
Shipping Bill filing, ICEGATE 2.0 processing, RoDTEP and EPCG claim filing, FTA preferential origin documentation.
Sea export clearance is where 70% of India's outbound cargo flows through — and where most exporters first encounter the friction of FCL booking, CFS gate-in cut-offs, examination queues, and EGM filing. WCL has been clearing FCL and LCL exports out of JNPT, Mundra, Kandla, Pipavav and TKD ICD since 2014, with direct ICEGATE 2.0 filing and AEO-aligned green-channel facilitation on most consignments.
Our scope covers FCL (20'/40'/40HC), LCL (consolidation), breakbulk (over-dimensional), and project cargo (heavy lift, flat-rack, open-top). Shipping Bill filing, RoDTEP and RoSCTL scheme claim flags, FTA preferential-origin documentation (CEPA / CECA / RCEP-IN), and EGM coordination with shipping lines.
We work with all the major carriers — Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, Evergreen — and the leading LCL consolidators on India trade lanes. One PO from your side becomes one Shipping Bill, one OOC, and one final document set delivered back to your accounting team.
Everything we cover for Sea Export
Our process — step by step
Pre-stuffing review
We verify HS classification, RoDTEP rate, FTA preferential origin eligibility, and any export licence requirement BEFORE the cargo moves to CFS. Catches issues at the cheapest correction point.
Booking & CFS gate-in
We coordinate the FCL booking with the shipping line, share the booking confirmation with CFS for slot allocation, supervise gate-in and weighbridge.
Shipping Bill filing
SB filed on ICEGATE 2.0 with all scheme flags (RoDTEP / RoSCTL / FTA origin). e-Sanchit uploads done in parallel. Docket reference shared on WhatsApp.
Examination & OOC
AEO-aligned consignments typically clear on green channel. Where examined, we present cargo at the CFS to the appraiser and resolve any classification / valuation query.
Vessel loading & EGM
Cargo handed to shipping line, vessel sails. EGM filed by carrier post-departure. RoDTEP scrip generated in your ICEGATE ledger within 2-4 weeks.

Questions clients ask us about Sea Export
What's the typical cut-off from cargo ready to vessel sailing?
For weekly direct services from JNPT to North Europe / US East Coast: gate-in usually 5-7 days before vessel ETD. From Mundra: 6-9 days. We pre-book the slot once we have your finished-goods date so the CFS hold time is minimised.
How do I get my RoDTEP scrip after export?
RoDTEP is flagged in the Shipping Bill at filing. After the vessel sails and the EGM is filed by the carrier, the scrip is automatically generated in your ICEGATE ledger — usually 2-4 weeks. The scrip is transferable (sellable in the open market) or usable against your own import duty.
Do you handle LCL consolidation alongside FCL?
Yes — we have consolidator tie-ups for LCL at JNPT, Mundra, TKD, Jaipur ICD and Jodhpur ICD. For loads under 10 CBM going to a single destination, LCL is usually more cost-effective than FCL even after handling fees.
What about FTA preferential origin — how much duty can it save?
Depending on the destination FTA: 5-15% duty saving at the importer's end. CEPA with UAE, CECA with Singapore, RCEP-IN with ASEAN+5, AIFTA, APTA — we'll check if your cargo qualifies and file the Certificate of Origin accordingly.
Can you handle project / breakbulk / over-dimensional cargo?
Yes — heavy lift (transformers, generators, boats), flat-rack (over-width), open-top (over-height), and break-bulk (loose cargo) shipments. We coordinate the route survey, port permits, and special equipment booking with carriers.
