Food and beverage businesses exploring overseas buyers have a near-term opportunity to review. NSIC's FOOD AFRICA 2026 fact sheet lists the exhibition for 7–10 December 2026 in Cairo, Egypt, with an extended application cut-off of 4 November 2026 for complete applications at the nearest NSIC office.
This is a short introduction to the published opportunity. Check the latest official notice and availability before paying for participation, travel or shipment arrangements.
What the opportunity covers
The fact sheet describes a business-to-business food and beverage exhibition. Its listed product groups include grains, spices, tea and coffee, fresh produce and processed foods. A business considering participation should first establish whether the event fits its products, target buyers and readiness to fulfil an export order.
The NSIC International Cooperation page lists FOOD AFRICA among its approved international exhibitions. The event route is part of the broader International Cooperation framework; it has its own participation and approval conditions. It should be assessed separately from the first-time MSE exporter reimbursement component.
Approval and costs need separate checks
The fact sheet requires prior Ministry approval through the NSIC application route. Applying does not guarantee a place or reimbursement. It says applicants whose participation is not approved must bear their participation expenses.
A prospective participant therefore needs a realistic budget and a clear decision about who will attend. Verify current eligibility, the complete application requirements, available places and admissible costs directly with NSIC. Do not treat a published reimbursement provision as money already available to spend.
Start the shipment discussion early
Exhibition samples and a commercial export order can involve different documentation and handling questions. Before asking for a freight quotation, prepare a short product description, approximate quantity, packaging, proposed travel or arrival dates and any temperature-control needs. Keep unknowns explicit. Food-related destination requirements and the movement of samples need their own checks before dispatch.
WCL can help organise the cargo facts and discuss freight and customs-document coordination. Send a basic shipment outline to webq@wclogistic.in or use our freight enquiry form. WCL does not decide scheme eligibility, event selection or reimbursement claims.
